Q: How do I place an order?

Our ordering process is fully automated and the easiest way to place an order is directly through our online store. Just add the product you are interested in to the shopping cart and proceed to the checkout page. It only takes a few minutes to place an order. Once you placed your order you will receive an email with your order details.

Q: How do I check the status of my order?

To check the latest status of your order and get a copy of your invoice please log into your account. You can also use track your order feature.


Q: How long does it take to process an order and how fast is the delivery?

On average delivery is within 1-3 business days to most areas within the UK, EU and Australia. Please allow additional 1-3 business days for order processing. Please note that orders are not being processed and there are no deliveries during weekends or holidays. From the time you place the order to the time of delivery it may take 2-6 business days and in some cases longer. Actual number of days may vary based on origin, destination and other unexpected delays.

Q: How will I know when to expect delivery?

You will receive an email 1-2 days before delivery with the ETA – Estimated Time of Arrival.

Q: Do you offer local pick up option?

At Lumen Books we specialize in flagship high-end models, extremely limited edition models, and special or custom configured models that are not available at regular retail stores or high street shops. We carefully select and sell only the very best models. We try to sell notebooks as close to manufacturer wholesale prices as possible, hence to minimize costs and improve logistics, all notebooks are shipped directly from manufacturers or distributor partners. We do understand that some customers would prefer to pick up their orders locally, however local pickup would not be very cost efficient, and ultimately it would add considerably to the overall cost of products. In addition, logistics wise it would be pretty much impossible to manage shipments from numerous manufacturers and distributors while keeping the prices as low as possible.

Q: Do you offer education discounts?

In addition to our low prices, Lumen Books offers ¬£35 / ‚ā¨35¬†education discount to students, teachers, administrators, and staff members. We also offer this discount for home-schooling programs, pre-kindergarten, and purchases made on behalf of students. To be eligible, we must be able to verify your academic status.

Q: Would I be paying more if I choose to pay for my order using PayPal, Credit or Debit card?

No. You would not be paying more. We do not charge any additional fees for using PayPal, credit or debit cards. Due to various limited time promotions, Bank Transfer/Online Banking/BACS/CHAPS/Faster Payments paying customers are sometimes paying less. Our pricing is highly competitive and almost in all cases lower than retail, and you are getting some of the best deals on the market regardless of the payment method.

Q: I have seen a similar product you sell for less in another country. How come?

We completely understand your point about pricing and you are absolutely right. Unfortunately it is not possible to just look at the price in another country and currency and simply convert it to your home country currency for example. We really wish it was that simple. There are so many factors that influence prices in countries around the world. In addition to currency fluctuations, for example prices in the US do not include US Taxes, VAT, Import duties, Customs Clearance fees or global shipping. At the end of the day after adding all these extra expenses, price you would end up paying would be much higher than what you have seen.
